The article reveals the content of the doctrine of European common democratic values (dignity and human rights, the rule of law and constitutional democracy) of the first Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Prof. L. Yuzkov as well as the role of this doctrine in the development of the first official draft of the Constitution of Ukraine of 1992 and its further development in the effective Constitution of Ukraine, the practice of its implementation, etc.
